Conditions & Treatments

Custom Orthotics – where foot function needs to be improved long term. The clinic favours orthotics made from high density foam (EVA) that can be soft or hard. Computer scanned and milled orthotics (CADCAM) or simpler heat moldable options.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) – a platelet concentrate is obtained from a patient’s own blood sample and injected into the site of injury or damage. Rich in growth factors that are essential for the repair process

Orthokine – natural anti-inflammatory protective protein also rich in growth factors derived purely from the patient’s own blood. High level evidence for treatment of osteoarthritis.

Prolotherapy – this injectable solution usually contains glucose and local anaesthetic. Usually used as a stand alone treatment or used in conjunction with PRP or Orthokine injections

Neural Prolotherapy – new injection therapy that treats pain with a weak glucose solution. It works on the theory of Hilton’s law that “the nerve trunk supplying a joint also supplies the overlying skin and the muscles that move the joint.” It works well when combined with other joint, tendon or ligament injections.

Exercise prescription – specific for the patient and their presenting symptoms.

The clinic has diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound for additional safety for guided injections and injury assessment.

The clinic uses a class II biosafety cabinet for the harvesting and preparation of autologous (blood) derived solutions.
