Orthotics – where foot function needs to be improved long term. The clinic favours orthotics made from high density foam (EVA) that can be soft or hard. Computer scanned and milled orthotics (CADCAM) or simpler heat moldable options.

Platelet Rich Plasma Injections – Level 1 evidence for osteoarthritis

Prolotherapy – this injectable solution usually contains glucose.

Neural Prolotherapy – new injection therapy that treats pain with a weak glucose solution. It works on the theory of Hilton’s law that “the nerve trunk supplying a joint also supplies the overlying skin and the muscles that move the joint.” It works well when combined with other joint, tendon or ligament injections.

Exercise prescription – specific for the patient and their presenting symptoms.
